Looted Rhino

OK, last little bit of 40k stuff for a little while, you're probably all sick of it, but I thought I should probably upload something and this has been the only thing of note I've done a of late.

So yes, similar to my looted Land Speeder [link] this is another old model I had and converted to use in my new Ork army. The base is an old Rhino model with everything else I had lying around thrown together to build the top section. Actually, taking the photo has highlighted a few little mistakes in painting I'll have to go and fix when I have a few minutes free, oh well.

Whereas my Land Speeder was made for an artillery role this one has been put together with transport in mind as well as a big bullet magnet (hey, whatever keeps those guns away from my boyz). I gave it the 'ard case mod as well as grot riggers, one of which is just visible on the back of the tank, making it much more resilient to damage than the standard Ork transports.

Much to my surprise the couple of games I've used these looted vehicles in they've both been very effective (most of the time). The Rhino, if I'm honest, more in it's bullet magnet role than as a transport and the Land Speeder has been utterly devastating as artillery... even if in the last game one of it's shots went so wide it actually landed on a fully-laden Wartrukk of mine. Hey, the resulting explosion from that killed more of my enemy than it did of me so it's still a win.
