Can't say i've really been paniced by this whole 'orphaned works' thing, aside from the fact I live in the UK so it's actual effect on me would probably be minor anyway the the guy who wrote the article it's all based on doesn't seem to be the most rational or well informed person so be listening to, I'd read this afterwards, it's written by someone who could be bothered to research the actual legal stuff [link] (and kudos to VGcats.com for posting that).

Anyway in other news, I'm moving out on Friday, yep moving in with ~SniperBunny so we're not online for quite a while that's why, internets be expensive.

On the plus side we got a bonsai tree today, we're hoping to level up on responsibilty enough with that to be able to own some fish, then eventually a rabbit. I suggested that if we join a party with some guys who look after elephants or something we could let them tank it and in no time we'd have enough responsibility levels to look after our very own Kiryu [link]

She must be crazy to want to move in with me.

If I haven't commented on anything, don't think I don't like you...... I'm just reeeeaaaallly behind oh my messages, I blame getting the internets on my Wii, although that doesn't sound like it should affect it, in fact should cause the opposite, but trust me on this.

My Band finally played a proper gig, scary since most the audience was about 14 but oh well, being the only band with facial hair probably made us look cooler, or something. On the plus side we got people moshing to a heavy metal redition of the Sir Mix-a-Lot classic, 'Baby Got Back', mirth. We've also played a few open mic nights at a local bar in a hacked down acoustic manner, one of the songs is on our myspace, it's called: The Hobo Song [link]

Also the orange box is quite possibly not only the most value for money piece of software ever (3 full games amonst other things) but the saviour of gaming for me. 2 of the games (Portal and Team Fortress 2) have restored a little of my faith in the games industry who have fucked up pretty much everything new i've played for the past few years.

Secondly, me and Mima are off to see musics tonight, more accurately the Sonic Boom Six, Streetlight Manifesto and Reel Big Fish, so much Ska-ification to be done tonight.

Thirdly the Death Note Anime is freaking awesome. Also i'm obsessed with the band that did some of the music for them, Maximum The Hormone they are called and they play a very weird mixture of happy poppy j-rockyness with crazy System of a Down-esque heavyness...... scary but oddly addictive.
